Meyer, FTW. Just like Zeldman’s Understanding Web Design article, this shows why Meyer, the guy who basically invented CSS, is still the master.

– A Gift Idea For Your Users: Respect, Yo How true it is. Without fail, every site or software I can think of that was all hyped out of control fell short of expectations. The best ones that I use day in and day out? Those that I heard about after they were launched because they are actually good.

– This brings up a good point: Why are tumblr pages indexed like this? It means that /page/2 today looks nothing like /page/2 last week nor /page/2 from a month ago. Things that hurt my brain: check.

The best music of 2007 →
travors: Out of 25 albums, I only have 2. I’m  soooo uncool. Well I’ve got four: Infinity on High is surprisingly good for a Fall Out Boy album. Icky Thump is just brilliant. We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank was my first Modest Mouse album (thanks Will. A Weekend In The City I just came across on iTunes one day, which was a good thing.

Domain Name Hackery
I wanted a way to make the Apache on my local machine respond to any directory within my webroot as if it were a subdomain on my DynDNS host. For example, if I have a folder called tumblr-theme that I would normally get to with my.domain.tld/tumblr-theme, I want tumblr-theme.my.domain.tld to point to that folder. Here’s what I came up with, courtesy of the Apache Documentation on Dynamically...
